總指前文，對彼《攝論》辨多少也。總別合言有三種也，即上論云不應執餘五取蘊等名總取蘊，五欲以下於總蘊中，而別離出名別中也。

This refers generally to the preceding text, distinguishing the greater and lesser in relation to that Mahāyānasaṃgraha. Combining general and particular, there are three kinds: that is, the treatise above says that one should not grasp the remaining five clinging aggregates and so forth, which is called the general clinging aggregates; from the five desires on down, separating them out from within the general aggregates is called "among the particulars."
