按《對法論》第二，又心相續長時間斷，經久流轉不息，是故轉識能持種子不應道理。今疏中云「不應」經文，賸「不應」字，文誤為文。或是疏主取彼論意，加彼「不應」經文之言，釋彼論文云：心相續是藏識，長時間斷即滅定等，經文流轉不息即種子也。又按《瑜伽》五十一云：「又彼諸識長時間斷，不應相續長時流轉。」

According to the second fascicle of the Abhidharmasamuccaya-bhāṣya: 'Furthermore, the continuity of mind is interrupted for a long time, while it has circulated through long duration without ceasing; therefore, that the evolving consciousnesses can maintain the seeds is not reasonable.' Now, where the Commentary mentions 'inappropriate' (不應) regarding the scriptural text, the character 'inappropriate' is superfluous, the text being mistaken as part of the scriptural quotation. Or perhaps the author of the Commentary took the intent of that treatise and added the words 'inappropriate to the scriptural text', explaining that treatise's text thus: 'the continuity of mind' is the storehouse consciousness; 'interrupted for a long time' refers to the cessation absorption and so on; and 'circulating through the scriptural text without ceasing' means the seeds. Furthermore, according to Yogācārabhūmi fascicle 51: 'Moreover, those consciousnesses are interrupted for a long time, and should not continuously circulate for a long time.'
