詳曰：據大小乘經論等藏，及古今德所有章紀，皆不說言經部現在許有二時，恐自穿鑿以意定也。准彼宗計，前後二識同一識類，不言現在分二時也，故《無性論》第二云：「六種轉識，或二剎那同一識類。」若言似彼，依少分言，不說現在同彼分二。若作此救，理可少通，然立不明，故難依唯。

Detailed analysis: Based on the canon of Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna sūtras and śāstras, and the commentaries and records of past and present masters of virtue, none state that the Sautrāntikas permit the present to have two periods; it is feared this is a fabricated interpretation based on personal opinion. According to that school's tenet, the prior and subsequent two consciousnesses share the same consciousness-class; it does not say that the present is divided into two periods. Hence Asabhāva's commentary, fascicle 2, says: 'The six kinds of evolving consciousness, or two moments, share the same consciousness-class.' If one says it resembles that, it is spoken based on a partial similarity, not stating that the present is divided into two like that. If one offers this defense, it is somewhat logically plausible, but since the proposition is not clear, it is difficult to rely upon.
