問：若善、惡法不能受熏，應不持種，如何《瑜伽》許三性法互持種耶？故五十一云：「若起善心，或染污心，或無記心，此一切心皆善種子、染污種子、無記種子之所隨逐。」此所建立，答隨轉理，門。非真實義。《瑜伽》自會文如前引。

Question: If wholesome and unwholesome dharmas cannot receive perfuming, they should not maintain seeds; why then does the Yogācārabhūmi allow dharmas of the three moral natures to mutually maintain seeds? Thus fascicle 51 says: 'If a wholesome mind, or a defiled mind, or an unrecorded mind arises, all these minds are followed by wholesome seeds, defiled seeds, and unrecorded seeds.' Answer: This establishment is an approach conforming to the provisional teaching, not the real meaning. The Yogācārabhūmi resolves this itself, in the text cited earlier.
