此斷意云前後識異而識類同識類受熏，識名根、法，餘之根、法同識，根、法亦得名為識類同也。此之類法應互相熏，同彼前後識之類也。

This decisive judgment means: the prior and posterior consciousnesses differ, yet the class of consciousness is identical, and the class of consciousness receives perfuming. Consciousness is called an indriya and a dharma; other indriyas and dharmas resemble consciousness, and indriyas and dharmas can also be called identical to the class of consciousness. These dharmas of the class ought to perfume each other, just like the class of those prior and posterior consciousnesses.
