按彼論第二云：「謂眼等根清淨色性，皆根種類之所隨逐。意根亦應成造色性，根義等故。」

According to that Treatise, the second fascicle says: 'The subtle material nature of the visual and other faculties is invariably accompanied by the kind of the faculties (indriya-jāti). The mental faculty should also become of the nature of derived matter, because the meaning of faculty is equivalent.'
