此設許也。無記中容，容前重後，理實不然。熏習俱時，不得前後，後無記者非皆第八，故知設許。

This is a provisional concession. The indeterminate is neutral, and could allow the prior to perfume the posterior; however, in truth, it is not so. Perfuming is simultaneous; it cannot be prior and posterior. Furthermore, subsequent indeterminates are not all the eighth [consciousness]; hence we know it is a provisional concession.
