無性《攝論》如《燈》具辨。世親釋云：「業為緣識不相應者，謂福、非福及不動行，生已謝滅。若不信有阿賴耶識，當於何處安立熏習？如六識身不能任持所有熏習。」

Asabhāva's commentary on the Mahāyānasaṃgraha is fully differentiated in the Cheng weishi lun liaoyi deng. Vasubandhu's commentary states: "That 'formations as condition for consciousness' is inadmissible means that meritorious, non-meritorious, and immovable formations, having arisen, pass away into cessation. If one does not believe in the existence of the ālaya-consciousness, where will perfuming be established? For the collection of the six consciousnesses cannot sustain any perfuming."
