前師量云：種生於果必定前後，以因果故，如麥種等。出彼過者，麥種等喻能立不成，麥等而非勝義因果。設云我許有他隨一，據實喻亦所立不成。由下論云非極成故，故不出也。

The earlier master's inference states: 'Seeds producing fruits must occur before and after; because of being cause and fruit; like barley seeds, etc.' Pointing out his fault: the example of barley seeds and the like suffers from an unestablished probans, because barley and the like are not cause and fruit in the ultimate sense. Even if he says 'I accept it', there is the fault of being unestablished for the other party; and in reality the example also suffers from an unestablished probandum. Because the treatise below says 'because it is not universally established', it is not pointed out here.
