答：由境為緣，見方得起，熏成自種。識種為緣，生識見分，變相分生。境若不有，見分不生，見分不生，誰熏見種？見種若無，見從何起？見若不有，相因何生？未有無心，獨有境故。由斯遠望，得互為因。

Answer: With the object acting as condition, the darśana-bhāga is then able to arise and perfume to form its own seeds. With the consciousness-seeds acting as condition, they generate the consciousness's darśana-bhāga, which transforms to generate the nimitta-bhāga. If the object does not exist, the darśana-bhāga does not arise; if the darśana-bhāga does not arise, what would perfume the darśana-bhāga's seed? If the seed of the darśana-bhāga is absent, from whence could the darśana-bhāga arise? If the darśana-bhāga does not exist, due to what could the nimitta-bhāga arise? For there has never been a case where without mind, an object exists alone. Looking at it from this broader perspective, they can serve as causes for each other.
