此救意云：若業已熟所招五識，理唯無記。業未熟時所起五識既非業感，故通善、惡。

The intention of this defence is: If the karma has already matured, the five consciousnesses it brings about are logically only avyākṛta. When the karma has not yet matured, the five consciousnesses that arise are not karmically induced, and therefore they encompass both wholesome and unwholesome.
