此釋伏難。伏難意云：本明所依，何故乃辨能依心等？故釋所有能依法者，意欲翻出能依之體，顯彼所依。疏言此解所有能依者，此牒定也。

This explains a covert objection. The purport of the covert objection is: originally it was to explain the basis (āśraya); why then distinguish the reliant (āśrita) mind and so forth? Therefore, explaining all reliant dharmas is intended to bring out the essence of the reliant so as to reveal that basis. When the Commentary says 'this explains all that rely', this takes up and determines it.
