答：立論者意不應徵責，由前引教說心、心所名有所依，即恐心所亦是所依，故次簡之。雖皆有所依，所依唯心，餘非所依，相顯不說。

Answer: the proponent's intention should not be challenged. Because the previously cited teaching states that mind and mental factors are called 'possessing a basis', it was feared that mental factors might also be bases, so they were eliminated immediately thereafter. Although all possess a basis, the basis is exclusively mind; the remainder are not bases, and because their characteristics are obvious, they are not mentioned.
