答：顯總是別真實性故。論或取共相無常等行者，此第二釋。依俗諦解二乘之人依十六行觀於四諦，賴耶既在苦諦中收，無常等行亦該第八，據斯共相二乘亦知。所以聖教望共、不共二相而說知、不知也。

Answer: Because it reveals that the general is the true nature of the specific. The Treatise says: 'Or it takes the aspects of impermanence and so forth of common characteristics'—this is the second explanation. Explaining according to conventional truth: practitioners of the two vehicles contemplate the four noble truths based on the sixteen aspects; since the ālaya is subsumed under the truth of suffering, the aspects of impermanence and so forth also encompass the eighth consciousness; based on these common characteristics, the two vehicles also know it. Therefore, the noble teaching speaks of knowing and not knowing with respect to the two characteristics of common and uncommon.
