答：言擾內心令外轉識恒成雜染。雜染者，不由第八第七能故。又別釋者，內心通取七、八二識，第八由之成有漏故。

Answer: It says that perturbing the internal consciousness causes the external evolving consciousnesses to constantly become defiled. Being defiled is not caused by the eighth, but by the capacity of the seventh. Another explanation is: internal consciousness generally encompasses both the seventh and eighth consciousnesses, because the eighth becomes sāsrava through it.
