4.442

按五十五，貪、嗔互相無。此惑與慢、見，謂染愛時或高舉或推求；慢之與見或更相應，謂高舉時復邪推搆。撿兩本論並五十五，《疏》云五十八，亦恐撿錯。又按《對法》第六云：「謂貪不與瞋相應，如瞋疑亦爾，餘皆相應。」故知貪與見、慢相應。又云：見慢皆不得與瞋、疑相應。不障見、慢自相應也。

According to fascicle 55, craving and hatred do not coexist with each other. These afflictions [coexist] with conceit and views: when there is defiled love, it is either lofty or inquiring; conceit and views may also be associated with each other: when it is lofty, it also errantly conceptualizes. Checking two editions of the treatise, both are fascicle 55; the Commentary says 58, which is also suspected to be a checking error. Furthermore, according to the Abhidharmasamuccaya-bhāṣya, fascicle 6: 'Craving is not associated with hatred; like hatred, doubt is also like this; the rest are all associated.' Thus we know that craving is associated with views and conceit. It also says: Views and conceit can neither be associated with hatred nor doubt. This does not preclude views and conceit being associated with each other.
