詳曰：五遍染家亦不說言，而依二十隨煩惱說，如何簡略依二十耶？若言雖不說依二十，二十隨中有不遍故，故須簡者。若爾，二十二中亦有不遍，何不依簡？故如疏說理甚無違。

Critique: The proponents of the five omnipresent defilements also do not explicitly state it, yet they speak based on the twenty secondary afflictions; why would exclusion be based on the twenty? If it is said that although it is not stated to be based on the twenty, among the twenty secondary afflictions some are not omnipresent, hence exclusion is necessary; if so, among the twenty-two there are also non-omnipresent ones, so why not exclude based on that? Therefore, what the Commentary states is completely free of contradiction in principle.
