雖復《佛地》、《無性》二論說有淨識，然《佛地經》及無著論不說有之，由斯不取末論為證。

Although the two treatises Buddhabhūmy-upadeśa and Asabhāva state that there is a pure consciousness, the Buddhabhūmi-sūtra and the treatises of Asaṅga do not state that it exists; therefore, later treatises are not taken as authoritative testimony.
