釋曰：外人計云：在淨六中，以淨六中無餘煩惱，相應無知得名不共，故難淨意既有無明，應成其染。

Explanation: The opponent posits: It resides in the pure sixth [consciousness], because in the pure sixth consciousness there are no other afflictions; associated non-cognition is thus called 'unshared'. Therefore the objection is made: Since the pure mental consciousness possesses ignorance, it ought to become defiled.
