釋曰：正難前救，意既一向恒有無明，無明外餘善等之法此意非有。既無信等意，名世善而不得成。又意恒染不可能引無漏善生，所治不為能治因故，故出世善亦不得有。

The explanation says: This directly refutes the previous defense. Since the mind would exclusively and constantly have ignorance, dharmas other than ignorance, such as wholesomeness, would not exist in this mind. Lacking faith and the like, this mind could not be established as mundane wholesomeness. Furthermore, since the mind would be constantly defiled, it could not induce the arising of uncorrupted wholesomeness, because that which is to be countered cannot serve as the cause for what counters it; therefore, supramundane wholesomeness also could not exist.
