按彼經六十四云：「瞿陀尼人眼識聞聲，如閻浮提中蛇蚖之類眼中聞聲，瞿陀尼人亦復如是。如隔障礙聞眾音聲，見眾色像亦復如是，以法勝故。」

Checking the sixty-fourth fascicle of that sūtra, it states: 'The eye-consciousness of the people of Godānīya hears sounds, just as snakes and vipers in Jambudvīpa hear sounds in their eyes; the people of Godānīya are also like this. Hearing various sounds across barriers, and seeing various forms and images, is also like this, because their dharma is superior.'
