釋：所問法中而不一向，應為分別。有惑死者而必更生，無惑死者必不生也。若約真理，三寶唯一；若據有為，三寶有別。三、反問記。如有問言：菩薩十地，為上為下？佛法僧寶，為勝為劣？應反問記，汝望何問？

The Explanation: Since the dharmas asked about are not categorical, an analytical distinction should be made: those who die with afflictions will definitely be reborn, while those who die without afflictions will definitely not be reborn. If considered in terms of true reality, the Three Jewels are only one; if based on conditioned phenomena, the Three Jewels are distinct. The third is the answer by counter-question (paripṛcchā-vyākaraṇa). For example, someone asks: 'Are the ten grounds of the bodhisattva superior or inferior? Are the Jewels of the Buddha, Dharma, and Saṅgha superior or inferior?' One should answer with a counter-question: 'In relation to what are you asking?'
