5.300

遍三地有，名之為長，雖三地有而不遍者，故說為短。即如輕安初尋伺地，而不遍有，故名為短。

Existing throughout the three stages is called "long"; existing in the three stages without being pervasive is spoken of as "short." Just as pliancy is in the first stage of investigation and analysis but does not exist pervasively, so it is called "short."
