In Fascicle 55, it arises from ten occasions: first, one's own body; second, beloved sentient beings; third, non-beloved sentient beings; fourth, past enemies and friends; fifth, future enemies and friends; sixth, present enemies and friends; seventh, disagreeable objects; eighth, jealousy; ninth, past habituation; tenth, views of others. Further, Fascicle 58 states that there are four kinds, fully listed as in the Commentary, briefly explained in two ways. One says: first, towards the views of others that harm oneself; second, towards other sentient beings who harm oneself. The aforementioned phrase 'harm oneself' applies to both places below. The other says: first, towards what harms oneself; second, towards other views and other sentient beings. The remaining two can be understood.
