5.421

由依等至而能起通，見苦、樂等而後起執，依尋、伺者憑邪師教說樂等事，處、所差別因執而生，或見現世苦、樂等，因茲搆盡計論而起。此世既苦，他世亦然，樂等亦然。

By relying on meditative attainment (samāpatti), one is able to give rise to superknowledge and see suffering, pleasure, and so forth, and subsequently give rise to grasping; those relying on reasoning and investigation (vitarka and vicāra) rely on the teachings of false teachers expounding matters of pleasure and so forth, and differences in realms and locations arise based on their grasping; or seeing suffering, pleasure, and so forth in the present life, they fabricate and elaborate complete doctrines based on this. [Thinking that] since this world is suffering, the other world is also like this; the same applies to pleasure and so on.
