釋如《疏》、《燈》。今助一釋言貪等六，名之為總；惡見開五，名之為別。今雙言之名為總、別十煩惱也，或可。《疏》云：若總、若別意亦同此。

The explanation is as given in the Commentary and the Lamp. Now, to offer an auxiliary explanation: the six, including greed and so forth, are called general; opening evil views into five is called specific. Now, stating both together is called the general and specific ten afflictions. Alternatively, what the Commentary calls 'whether general or specific' has the same intention.
