5.539

按《瑜伽論》五十八云：諸煩惱纏未離自地煩惱欲者，自地現起；已離欲者，即不現起。若在下地，上地諸纏亦得成就，非在上地得說成就下地諸纏。又〈六十二〉云：下地諸法若生，上地不現在前；上地諸法若生下地，其離欲者或現在前，有違此文，故論通也。

According to the *Yogācārabhūmi*, fascicle fifty-eight: For the entanglements of afflictions, for those who are not yet free from the afflictions and desire of their own stage, they become active in their own stage; for those who are already free from desire, they do not become active. If one is in a lower stage, the entanglements of higher stages can also be possessed; but if one is in a higher stage, one cannot be said to possess the entanglements of lower stages. Furthermore, fascicle sixty-two says: If born in a higher stage, dharmas of lower stages do not present themselves; if born in a lower stage, dharmas of higher stages may present themselves for one who is free from desire. Since this contradicts this text, the Treatise reconciles it.
