若但云境無非境者，言緣名境，名境便局，以名不及如涅槃等。今云意境，意境乃寬，以意內證真如等故。
If it were merely said that 'among cognitive objects there are none that are not objects,' speaking of taking name-objects as objects would make the objects narrow, because names do not reach such things as nirvāṇa. Now, saying 'mental objects' makes the mental objects broad, because the mind internally realizes such things as true thusness.
