憂求解脫是無漏根，故通不斷，故《對法論》第十云：未知根者，謂信等五，意、喜、樂、憂、捨，已知根體數亦同之。

Grief seeking liberation is an untainted faculty and therefore extends to being not to be abandoned. Thus the Abhidharmasamuccaya-bhāṣya, Fascicle 10, says: 'The faculty of coming to know what is not yet known refers to the five beginning with faith, plus mind, joy, pleasure, grief, and equanimity; the nature and number of the faculty of known [phenomena] are also identical to it.'
