答：言思惟者，八道支一，體即是尋，故得為證。又解脫月諸菩薩眾請金剛藏釋十地義，准《十地經》歎菩薩德，金剛藏等八地上位，上位意識唯是無漏，解脫月等歎云淨覺，淨覺明知體非有漏。

Answer: The term "thought" is one of the eight factors of the path, its substance being vitarka; therefore it can serve as proof. Furthermore, when Vimukticandra and the assembly of bodhisattvas requested Vajragarbha to explain the meaning of the ten grounds, according to the praise of the bodhisattvas' virtues in the Daśabhūmika-sūtra, Vajragarbha and others were in the higher positions of the eighth ground and above, and the mental consciousness in higher positions is exclusively untainted; Vimukticandra and the others praised them as "of pure awareness", and "pure awareness" clearly indicates that its substance is not tainted.
