答：文雖不言，意必許起，何所以者？答煩惱未伏，定無由得；既一切惑永伏不行，何不能起？此論取彼論意，而言皆起此定，亦無爽矣。

Answer: Although the text does not say it, the intent definitely allows its arising. Why is this? Answer: If afflictions are not subdued, the absorption can in no way be attained; since all afflictions are permanently subdued and do not function, why could it not arise? This Treatise adopts the intent of that treatise and states that they all arise in this absorption; there is no error.
