答：所變之用是依他起故與前別，此用實非見、相二分，依此二用計能、所取，方名二分。用是二分執所起處，二分之用，用名二分。

Answer: The function that is transformed is dependent origination, and therefore differs from the former; this function is not actually the two divisions of darśana-bhāga and nimitta-bhāga. Only when grasping subject and grasped object are conceptualized on the basis of these two functions are they called the two divisions. Function is the locus where grasping at the two divisions arises; because it is the function of the two divisions, function is called the two divisions.
