6.220

按《攝論》云：「真智覺時亦如是轉：如在夢中此覺不轉，從夢覺時此覺乃轉，如是未得真智覺時此覺不轉，得真智覺此覺乃轉。」又《二十唯識論》云：「如未覺位不知夢境非外實有，覺時乃知；如是世間虛妄分別串習惛熟，如世夢中諸有所見皆非實有，未得真覺不能自知。若時得彼出世對治無分別智，乃名真覺，此後所得世間淨智現在前位，如實了知彼境非實。」

According to the Mahāyānasaṃgraha: 'When awakened by true knowledge, it also operates like this: just as while in a dream this awareness does not operate, but upon awakening from the dream this awareness then operates; likewise, when one has not attained the awakening of true knowledge, this awareness does not operate, but when one attains the awakening of true knowledge, this awareness then operates.' Furthermore, the Viṃśikā says: 'Just as in the unawakened state one does not know that dream objects are not external and real, and only knows upon awakening; so worldlings, habitually stupified by false discrimination, are like those dreaming in the world whose sights are all non-real, and without attaining true awakening, they cannot know it themselves. When they attain that supramundane, non-discriminative counteractive wisdom, that is called true awakening; subsequently, when the worldly pure wisdom obtained from this is present before them, they truly know that those objects are not real.'
