「得」謂所得，「修」謂熏修，由現道力令所得法種子增明故，所得法名之為修。「行」謂現行，「修」謂習學，亦名習修。

"Attainment" means what is attained; "cultivation" means perfuming and cultivating: because the power of the present path causes the seeds of the attained dharmas to increase and brighten, the attained dharmas are called "cultivation." "Practice" means active manifestation; "cultivation" means learning by habituation, also called "cultivation by habituation."
