答：《瑜伽論》云：「觀待飢、渴，羸劣身住。」觀待段食所有愛味，於彼追求執取受用，即說彼法為觀待因。又觀待境界所有愛味，諸有支相續流轉，即彼望此諸雜染法為觀待因。又觀待諸行多過患故，樂求清淨，攝受清淨成滿清淨，彼望於此為觀待因。

Answer: The *Yogācārabhūmi* says: "Depending on hunger and thirst, the emaciated body stays." Depending on the craving for material food, one pursues, grasps, and consumes it; precisely that dharma is said to be the relative cause. Further, depending on the craving for sensory objects, the various factors of existence continue in saṃsāric circulation; precisely that, in relation to these defiled dharmas, is the relative cause. Further, depending on the many faults in conditioned formations, one delights in seeking purity, receives purity, and accomplishes purity; that, in relation to this, is the relative cause.
