答：招總別報名為行支，故感第八業而亦招彼也。若初六識是善等者，省斯問答。

Answer: Bringing about total retribution and particular retribution is called the condition of saṃskāra, and therefore the karma that induces the eighth [consciousness] also brings about that. If the initial six consciousnesses are wholesome and the like, this question and answer are dispensed with.
