答：果位自在不同，何失？又因緣外必同所緣，果亦自內緣相應法，由此所緣非必定同。後釋為本。

Answer: In the fruitional state there is mastery; what fault is there in their being different? Furthermore, in the causal state, in taking external objects they must have the same cognitive object, but in the fruitional state they also internally take associated phenomena as objects; hence their cognitive objects are not necessarily the same. The latter explanation is fundamental.
