問：退第四定後還作意，厭遍淨染方得引生；無想重得何即不爾？若亦須修未修，命謝生下三天，何理不許？

Question: After regressing from the fourth dhyāna, one again directs attention and feels revulsion toward attachment to Śubhakṛtsna before being able to induce it; why would re-attaining non-conception not be like that? If it also requires cultivation, and before having cultivated it one's life ends and one is born in the lower three heavens, by what reasoning is this disallowed?
