按《緣起經》，生有五種：一、下種生；二、次第增長生；三、次第出胎生；四、次第增長生；五、增長生已能得受用世俗生。

According to the Pratītyasamutpāda-sūtra, birth has five kinds: first, birth by planting the seed; second, birth by gradual growth; third, birth by gradually leaving the womb; fourth, birth by gradual growth; fifth, conventional birth capable of obtaining enjoyment after grown up.
