按《對法》第五云：「相續力者，有九種命終心與自體愛相應，於三界中各令欲、色、無色界生相續，謂從欲界沒還生欲界者，即以欲界自體愛相應命終心結生相續。若生色、無色界者，即以色、無色界自體愛相應命終心結生相續。如是從色、無色界沒，若即生彼，若生餘處，有六種心如其所應盡當知。又此自體愛唯是俱生，不了所緣境，有覆無記性攝。」

According to the fifth fascicle of the Abhidharmasamuccaya-bhāṣya: "As for the power of continuity: there are nine kinds of death-minds associated with attachment to one's own existence that cause existence in the desire, form, and formless realms to continue within the three realms respectively. That is to say, one who dies from the desire realm and is reborn back into the desire realm links rebirth into continuity through a death-mind associated with attachment to desire-realm existence. If reborn into the form or formless realm, one links rebirth into continuity through a death-mind associated with attachment to form- or formless-realm existence. In this way, when dying from the form or formless realm, whether reborn right there or in another place, one should know all six kinds of minds as appropriate. Furthermore, this attachment to one's own existence is exclusively innate, does not discern its objective sphere, and is subsumed under the defiled-neutral nature."
