答：《疏》示方隅舉三惡起別報，善業果喪因亡，顯定亦爾。然恐有執定唯果喪因亡一義故，更舉之因亡果喪顯通二義。不爾，何故在此果喪因亡下辨？

Answer: The Commentary illustrates a general perspective by citing the individual retribution arisen in the three evil destinies, where wholesome karma is "the fruit is destroyed and the cause perishes," showing that this absorption is also like that. However, fearing that someone might cling to the position that the absorption is solely of the one sense, "the fruit is destroyed and the cause perishes," it further adduces "the cause perishes and the fruit is destroyed" to show that it applies to both senses. Otherwise, why would it be analyzed here under "the fruit is destroyed and the cause perishes"?
