此問意云：得預流已欲極七生，更不生上，無欲第八，此即全離上界有支，云何得言無全斷者？其答意云：亦有預流而得不還得生上界，由此不得云全斷也。

The intention of this question is: having attained stream-entry, one has at most seven lifetimes in the desire realm and will not be reborn above, nor will there be an eighth lifetime in the desire realm; this means one completely departs from the factors of existence of the upper realms, so how can it be said that there is none who has completely abandoned them? The intention of the answer is: there are also stream-enterers who attain non-return and can be reborn into the upper realms; because of this, one cannot say they are completely abandoned.
