答：如末那惑雖最後除亦得名染，此亦無失。又能助所知合變易續，故不斷之。

Answer: Just as the defilements of the manas are called defiled even though they are eliminated last, there is no fault here either. Moreover, they can assist the knowable [obscurations] to combine and continue transformation [birth and death], which is why they are not abandoned.
