此中三因，《佛地論》同。彼云：一切異熟無記心品，分別力劣不能執故。若有倒執，成法我見，有無明等，不應唯與五法相應，有見等故。又法空觀初現前時，此識應斷，障治相違，不俱行故。

The three causes here are the same as in the Buddhabhūmy-upadeśa. It says: Because all vipāka-avyākṛta mind-classes have weak discriminative power and cannot grasp. If there were inverted grasping, it would constitute the view of a dharma-self and possess ignorance and so on, and should not be associated with only five dharmas, because of having views and so on. Moreover, when the contemplation of emptiness of dharmas first manifests, this consciousness would be severed, because hindrance and antidote are mutually contradictory and do not operate together.
