Those seeds of conventional wisdom cultivated collaterally, when reaching the stage of the path of cultivation, can all generate actualisations that universally take all dharmas as objects. It is not like the Sarvāstivāda school, where they ultimately never arise. Hence fascicle sixty-nine states: When ascending to the path of vision, all the seeds of wholesome conventional wisdom previously cultivated, through being perfumed and cultivated by that [path], all become pure; this is also called cultivation. Explanation: Because entering the path of vision severs defilement, the conventional seeds become free from that portion of defiling dharmas, which is called purity; in terms of this purity, it is called cultivation. It also states: All conventional wisdoms, having emerged from the path of vision, arise and realise the liberation of the dharmas severed by vision; they are able to correctly discern and not fall into the bad destinies; they can also understand that having attained the fruit of stream-enterer, all such defilements have been severed, and make predictions for others, etc. Explanation: These are all capacities of the collaterally cultivated conventional wisdom, not referring to the uncontaminated subsequent wisdom.
