即緣第三類忍為境，或亦緣前法忍法智，即印類所緣之事，不緣類忍，名印類忍。

It directly takes the third subsequent patience as its object, or it also takes the preceding patience regarding phenomena and cognition of phenomena as its objects; that is, confirming the matters taken as objects by the subsequent [patience], without taking the subsequent patience itself as object, is called confirming the subsequent patience.
