7.436

具如《疏》辨。有義：「轉」者，屬能轉道，亦轉之依，由能轉道轉所轉依名「轉依」故。今此解者，相最顯了。

This is fully analyzed as in the Commentary. There is an opinion that says: 'Transformation' (parāvṛtti) belongs to the path that can transform, and is also the basis of the transformation; because the path that can transform transforms the support that is transformed, it is called 'transformation of the basis' (āśrayaparāvṛtti). This interpretation is the most explicit in its character.
