以果與因而為地也，由所求果方起行故。即隨自地理、智二極，皆名為果，非唯佛果。

The fruit serves as the ground for the cause, because the practice is initiated only by virtue of the fruit sought. That is, the two pinnacles of principle and wisdom corresponding to each ground are both called 'fruit,' not exclusively the fruit of buddhahood.
