所招果體。「道」者是因。大財等果從因等起，名「增上生」。「決定勝」者，亦是果也，望前三果增上果體，後三果體而勝於彼，名「決定勝」。「道」者，因也。

is the substance of the fruit that is brought about. 'Path' is the cause. Because fruits such as great wealth arise from the cause and so forth, it is called 'higher state'. 'Definitive excellence' (niḥśreyasa) is also a fruit: viewed relative to the substances of the higher-state fruits of the preceding three, the substances of the fruits of the latter three are superior to them, and are thus called 'definitive excellence'. 'Path' is the cause.
