釋曰：「異」，不應言二空性者是諸法性，與法異故。「若一」，不應言二空理是無分別淨智之境，與事一故。

The explanation says: "[If it were] different," one should not say that the twofold emptiness-nature is the nature of all phenomena, because it would be different from phenomena. "If it were identical," one should not say that the principle of twofold emptiness is an object of non-conceptual pure knowledge, because it would be identical with concrete things (vastu).
